Welcome to my new collection, ‘Utopia’.
I began this series to explore the beauty of females. I wanted to study the imperfections, flaws and differences of women’s bodies to prove that we don’t need to fit into a certain aesthetic to be beautiful. Our bodies are beyond incredible, none of us look the same, we all have scars and marks that are unique to us. Every single mark on our bodies tells a story and every mark on these paintings do too.
None of these pieces are sketched out or planned before I paint them, every mark I make is spontaneous and freehand, in an intentionally irregular and textured manner.
Excluding the backgrounds, no brushes are used, just me and my palette knife. The process of creating these paintings has been one of my favourite creative processes to date.
I hope you guys love them as much as I do.
